Josh Gregory Merkaba builds their compositions in this natural selection anarchic style raising you to a point in which you can climb no more. It is then at that point that the song collapses in on its self and erodes away by the same organic processes which built it up in the first place. An interesting and unique approach to black metal. Favorite track: We Seem to Pass Like Ships in the Night.

Mario Polzin The atmosphere Merkaba manages to create here is what makes this album stand out for me. When I listen to it, I find myself hovering over vast, mountainous woodlands, running wild between the trees, witnessing a moonlight procession along the river - whatever it is that I am experiencing during the songs, it always is something otherworldly. It is something that many atmospheric black metal projects are aiming to achieve, but what few really do. Merkaba did. And they did it well. Favorite track: Glacial Fire.
